The 100th Great Recording of the Century adds one further name – Maria Callas – to the galaxy of stars already featured in the series. And the recording, made at La Scala, Milan, with Tito Gobbi, Giuseppe di Stefano and Victor de Sabata, is of a performance regarded by many as arguably the greatest recording of the last century.
