Ingrid Fliter's 2008 EMI Classics debut album of the Chopin 3rd Sonata drew universal praise. She is now following this up with a recording of his complete waltzes, released well in time to begin the celebrations in 2010 of the 200th anniversary of Chopin�s birth.

Fliter, who took second prize in the Chopin competition in Warsaw in 2000, is the consummate Chopin player and this promises to be an exceptional recording. Her parents actually met over the Chopin waltzes and Ingrid grew up listening to Arthur Rubinstein's Chopin recordings.

An international spotlight focused on Ingrid Fliter when she won the 2006 Gilmore Artist Award, only the fifth pianist to have been so honoured. Fliter followed in the pianistic footsteps of Leif Ove Andsnes and Piotr Anderszewski, who preceded her as winners. In addition, Fliter is also participating in BBC's "New Generation Artist" programme.
